Two young women meet in a scattered motel room somewhere in Germany, that is to say a young Italian worker far away from her home and another young woman, tormented by the search for a place in her own country. Amidst the daily racket of construction sites dominating their daily lives, they find a sort of connection through memories, touch, and a shared moment of silence.

A woman calls for help, explaining how she isn’t feeling well. Disoriented, she claims not to recognise where she is or how she got there. Somewhere in Congo, a man passes away, surrounded by his loved ones. His grandson Kimia bears witness to the scene, powerless. He seizes a soccer ball belonging to the old man, and runs away.
Sing my song
Julia Ammouri
The Norwegian government initiates a national language-strengthening program: by operating immigrant children’s vocal chords in exchange for financial compensation, it takes away the ability to use their native tongue. The Saad family’s hardships bring them to fathom the unfathomable.
